其实,不少文章等都曾提到,“穿得越多越暖”是一个误区。
穿衣保暖的关键在于有一定的厚度,并且有足够的空气层。
In fact, "the more layers you wear, the warmer you are" is actually a misconception. The key to staying warm lies not just in thickness, but also in maintaining adequate air flow between layers.
空气层指的是衣服和人体之间含着空气的间隙。由于人体不断散热,会把空气慢慢加热,此时,空气便起到了保暖层的效果。
An air layer refers to the space between your body and clothing that traps air. As your body continuously releases heat, it warms this trapped air, which then acts as an insulating layer.
那么,是不是层数越多、衣服里存的空气越多,整体的保暖性也就越强了呢?
其实,事情并不是这样!
我们可以把人体想象成一个圆柱体,衣服件数越多时,件与件之间会出现新间隙,新间隙又能容纳空气——最终就会造出一个很厚重的空气层。

而当空气层太厚时,空气层从内至外就会产生比较明显的温差。这时,空气将不再静止而是会流动起来,这就是“热对流”。
一旦发生了“热对流”,热量的流失反而会更快。
Think of the human body as a cylinder. When you wear multiple layers, new gaps form between each piece of clothing, each capable of holding air — ultimately creating a very thick air layer. However, when this air layer becomes too thick, a significant temperature difference develops between its inner and outer parts. This causes the air to circulate rather than remain still — a phenomenon known as "thermal convection". Once thermal convection occurs, heat loss actually accelerates.
除了温差导致“热对流”,层数太多还会把空气层挤薄。当层数超过某个值后,衣服层与层之间的空气存量,反而会随着衣服层数的增加而减少。
特别是在户外走动时,衣服随着身体动作出现相互摩擦、挤压,这会加速衣服间空气层流动,加剧热量散失。
Besides triggering convection, too many layers can also compress the air spaces between them. Beyond a certain point, adding more layers actually reduces the amount of trapped air between garments. This effect is especially noticeable during outdoor activities, where body movement causes clothing to rub and compress against each other. This disrupts the air layers and speeds up heat loss.
反而,穿的件数少,空气层会相对薄些,不易引发热对流。并且人体散发的热量也会充斥着整个衣下空间,内部冷热相对均匀一些,体感上更暖和。
On the contrary, wearing fewer layers results in a thinner, more stable air layer that is less prone to convection. Body heat can then evenly fill the entire space beneath the clothing, creating a more uniform and warmer microclimate.
